Tino Fa’asuamaleaui’s recovery nears completion

Gold Coast Titans captain Tino Fa’asuamaleaui is edging closer to a return to the field, with specialists in Sydney expected to give the final clearance on his recovery from an ACL injury.

Fa’asuamaleaui, a cornerstone of the Titans’ roster, has undergone extensive rehabilitation since his injury. Titans physiotherapist Simon Mammino praised the 23-year-old forward’s determination and commitment throughout the process.

“When you see him, it looks like he could play right now, so it is just getting through the last tick down in Sydney,” Mammino said.

“The Titans are doing their due diligence and looking after their investment to make sure Tino is ready. It is a good thing for the club to do.”

Mammino highlighted Fa’asuamaleaui’s dedication to his recovery, noting his consistent effort and focus on returning stronger than ever.

“Tino has shown a lot of commitment. It was never going to be an issue for him doing all of his rehab,” he added. “He wants to win a title with the Titans and take them to the top. That is what drives him.”

The 2024 season will be pivotal for both Fa’asuamaleaui and the Titans, with the club aiming to rise through the NRL ranks under his leadership. Known for his fierce competitiveness and leadership on and off the field, Fa’asuamaleaui is eager to make an impact.

“Tino is just so hungry to get back on the field, to lead his team and get stuck into it,” Mammino said. “He’s had time to reflect on where he wants to go with his career and hasn’t slackened off in his recovery or off-field preparation.”

The Titans and their fans eagerly await Fa’asuamaleaui’s return as the club sets its sights on achieving long-term success.
