Collingwood Football Club has appointed Barry Carp as its 15th President, following an election that also saw Dan Rosen and Gaye Morris join the Board for 2025.
A prominent figure in the finance and sport sectors, Carp joined the Collingwood Board in 2021 and has played a key role overseeing the Club’s financial strategies.
In his first statement as President, Carp expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and outlined his vision for the Club.
“It is a true honour to become the 15th President of the Collingwood Football Club,” Carp said.
“I want to pay tribute to Jeff Browne for his strong leadership over the past three years and to each President who has served before him. Our Club is in a very strong position, and we have set the foundation for sustained success.”
Carp emphasised his commitment to building on the Club’s recent achievements.
“The priority for me as President and for our Board is to continue to build on the foundations we have set,” he said.
The new President also acknowledged the contributions of retiring Director Christine Holgate.
“I want to acknowledge Christine Holgate for her incredible contribution as a long-term Director at Collingwood,” Carp said.
Carp congratulated Rosen and Morris on their appointments and thanked all candidates who stood for election.
“I thank all the candidates who contested the election hoping to make a contribution to Collingwood at Board level,” he said.
“To our incredible Members, I look forward to connecting and listening to you all to ensure we continue to offer the best Member experience in 2025 and beyond.”
