Cricket Australia has revealed its 15-player squad for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, set to take place in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates from 19 February to 9 March. The tournament will feature the top eight teams from the 2023 Cricket World Cup, with Pakistan entering as defending champions.
The Australian squad, led by Pat Cummins, boasts a blend of experience and versatility, featuring players who have excelled in recent campaigns. Chairman of selectors George Bailey highlighted the balance and depth within the side.
“This is a balanced and experienced squad with the core having been involved in the previous one-day World Cup, the West Indies series, last year’s successful tour of the UK and the more recent Pakistan home series,” Bailey said.
Bailey noted the adaptability of the squad, which is expected to perform well under varying conditions.
“It offers a variety of options for touring management depending on opposition and the conditions that may present in Pakistan,” he added.
