The South Sydney Rabbitohs have bolstered their roster for 2025, signing playmaker Jayden Sullivan following his release from the Wests Tigers.
Sullivan, 23, is a versatile five-eighth and halfback who has played 35 NRL games since debuting with the St George Illawarra Dragons in 2020. A proud Yuin man, Sullivan rose to prominence in 2019, captaining the Illawarra Steelers to an SG Ball Cup premiership before becoming one of the Dragons’ rising stars.
After transitioning to the Tigers for the 2024 season, Sullivan’s availability for 2025 prompted interest from the Rabbitohs, who secured the goal-kicking talent to strengthen their halves.
Rabbitohs Head of Recruitment and Retention, Mark Ellison, emphasised Sullivan’s potential and his fit within the club’s plans under head coach Wayne Bennett.
“Jayden is a great talent, and we think he can play his best football here at the Rabbitohs under the guidance of Wayne,” Ellison said.
“He was one of the country’s best young talents coming through the junior representative system on the south coast of New South Wales. He will add to our depth in the five-eighth and halfback positions, and we are looking forward to Jayden joining us for pre-season training as we get ready for our premiership charge come March 2025.”
Sullivan’s junior achievements and first-grade experience make him a valuable addition to the Rabbitohs’ squad. Known for his vision, sharp passing game, and goal-kicking, Sullivan has the attributes to thrive in South Sydney’s structure.
The Rabbitohs will aim to leverage his skills as they chase premiership success in 2025. Fans can look forward to Sullivan contributing to the club’s campaign alongside established stars.
