The AFL and Fremantle Football Club have unveiled the guernseys and specially designed Sherrin to be used in the 2025 Toyota AFL Indigenous All Stars match. Scheduled for Saturday, 15 February 2025, at Optus Stadium in Perth, the game will see the Indigenous All Stars face Fremantle as part of the AFL pre-season fixture.
The Indigenous All Stars will wear a Puma guernsey featuring artwork by First Nations muralist Jade Dolman. The design highlights the legacy of Indigenous players, with vibrant colours from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags. It features symbols representing children surrounded by players, pathways for growth, and the critical role of women in supporting their communities. River and freshwater imagery symbolises the cultural significance of water.
Fremantle’s guernsey, designed by 2007 Indigenous All Stars player Roger Hayden and his uncle, Dr Richard Walley, celebrates the ocean (Wardan) and river (Derbal Yerragan) movements central to Fremantle (Walyalup). Boomerangs in the design represent strength, creativity, and connection to music and dance.
The match-day Sherrin, also designed by Dolman, incorporates the Noongar word “Miidj,” meaning ball. Panels showcase land, water, and native fauna tracks, further reflecting the connection to country.

“Designing the artwork for the Indigenous All Stars 2025 is a significant milestone in my career,” she said.
Roger Hayden added:
“To see Fremantle wearing this jumper again, celebrating Indigenous history and culture, is an honour.”
