Todd Greenberg appointed as Cricket Australia CEO

Cricket Australia has announced Todd Greenberg as its new Chief Executive Officer, with his tenure set to commence at the end of the domestic summer. Greenberg will step into the role in March 2025, succeeding Nick Hockley.

Greenberg, a highly experienced sports administrator, brings a wealth of leadership expertise to Cricket Australia. He previously served as CEO of the National Rugby League (NRL) and, more recently, has been instrumental in supporting Australian Cricketers’ Association initiatives.

His appointment comes at a crucial time for Australian cricket as the organisation navigates its domestic and international strategies, particularly with the growing popularity of the women’s game and challenges in sustaining grassroots cricket.

In a statement, Greenberg expressed his enthusiasm for the role, acknowledging the importance of cricket in Australia’s sporting and cultural identity.

“I’m honoured to lead an organisation that plays such a vital role in shaping sport and community in Australia,” Greenberg said.

Cricket Australia Chairman Mike Baird praised Greenberg’s credentials and leadership qualities.

“Todd is a proven leader who has demonstrated success in driving organisational change and growth. We are confident he will take Cricket Australia forward into an exciting future,” Baird said.

As cricket in Australia continues to evolve, Greenberg’s leadership is expected to focus on inclusivity, innovation, and sustaining the sport’s strong legacy across all levels.
