Tottenham Hotspur secured a dramatic 4-3 victory over Manchester United to book their spot in the Carabao Cup semi-finals in an electrifying clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday evening.

Dominic Solanke shone with a brace, scoring early in the 15th minute with a sharp volley off Pedro Porro’s deflected shot. Spurs extended their lead early in the second half when Dejan Kulusevski fired home in the 46th minute, followed swiftly by a stunning solo effort from Solanke, who weaved past defenders to bury his second goal of the night.

Despite Tottenham’s commanding 3-0 advantage, United staged a fierce comeback. Joshua Zirkzee capitalised on a goalkeeping misstep to score in the 63rd minute, and moments later, Amad Diallo’s pressure forced a second mistake, with his block ricocheting into the net to narrow the deficit to 3-2.

Tottenham responded through Heung-Min Son’s incredible corner goal in the 87th minute, curling the ball directly into the net, restoring a two-goal cushion. United refused to back down, with Jonny Evans heading home deep into stoppage time to set up a nail-biting finish.

The high-octane encounter showcased brilliant individual efforts, defensive lapses, and relentless determination from both teams. Tottenham’s composure in the final moments sealed their progression to the semi-finals, much to the delight of the home crowd.

Spurs now eagerly await the draw for the last four as they continue their quest for silverware this season.
