The Tasmania JackJumpers recorded their first-ever 100-point game, dismantling the New Zealand Breakers 100-76. Jordon Crawford led the charge with 24 points, helping the JackJumpers solidify their place as one of the NBL’s form teams.
For the Breakers, the struggles continued with their fifth-straight loss, dropping their record to 7-8. Concerns around their on-court chemistry and pace of play have intensified, despite a standout performance from 7’6 Tacko Fall, who top-scored with 16 points on perfect shooting. The team now faces an uphill battle to recover their season.
Meanwhile, the Brisbane Bullets extended their impressive run, defeating the South East Melbourne Phoenix 116-108 in a high-scoring affair. Brisbane has now won four of their last six games and climbed to fifth on the NBL ladder.
Keandre Cook was instrumental for the Bullets, scoring a team-high 33 points on 64% shooting. Tyrell Harrison contributed a dominant 23-point, 12-rebound double-double, while Nathan Sobey’s 25 points for the Phoenix weren’t enough to secure a win. Other notable performances for the Phoenix included Matt Hurt with 27 points and 20 points each from Angus Glover and Owen Foxwell.
Brisbane’s offence continues to fire, with this being their third consecutive game scoring over 100 points – a feat last achieved during the 2019-20 season.
